2019 Pilgrimage to Lourdes
Lourdes, May 3-7. The Hungarian Association fielded a group of 83 participants in this year's international pilgrimage of the Order of Malta to the Shrine of Lourdes. We accompanied nineteen malades and ten pilgrims; the volunteers included twenty members of the Order and three candidates. Twenty of our volunteers were first-time participants, three of them under 25: we hope that their experience was positive and that many of them will come back again often in future!
We were particularly happy to have four priests with us, one from Hungary, one from Upper Hungary, one from Transylvania and one from India, stationed in Hungary. The traditional Monday morning Hungarian-language Mass in the Grotto of Masssabielle was thus concelebrated by four priests.
